Hey clients, we love you. Seriously. But sometimes, we designers wish we had nine lives just to survive the feedback cycle. So here’s a gentle hiss (okay, nudge) from the design cats at Design Neko. These are the things we wish you knew, but we’re usually too polite (and too caffeinated) to say.
1. “Make it Pop” Isn’t a Brief
We love energy! But instead of “make it pop,” tell us what you want to stand out and why. Is the call-to-action being ignored? Is the image too bland? Give us a direction – so we can meow right.
2. Good Design Takes Time (No, We Can’t ‘Whip It Up’)
Designing something meaningful isn’t like batting around a ball of yarn. It takes research, drafts, tweaks, and sleep (yes, we do need naps too). Rushed design often ends up being… well, cat vo-it – or let’s say – Kitty Confetti!
3. Trust Us (We’ve Eaten a Lot of Design Homework)
We’ve studied this stuff. Fonts, grids, spacing, usability – it’s our kibble. So when we suggest something, it’s not to be rebellious. It’s to keep your brand’s tail high and proud.
4. Revisions are Normal (But Infinite Rounds Aren’t)
Yes, design is iterative. But if you change the brief five times, you’re going to exhaust your designer faster than a laser pointer chase. Let’s stick to a plan, paws and all.
